The console can be held comfortably in one hand and as an owner of the original Switch, I’m happy with the Lite version’s reduced weight. It’s perfect for taking it with you while traveling and playing on public transit. Since there is no kickstand, it will take a bit more planning to play games that require standing up when you’re traveling.
The only thing that I think should be included in the box are some wrist straps as there is nothing to secure your hands to the console and it can fall out of your grasp accidentally if you’re not careful.
Since there’s no speaker or headphone jack, the sound is played through an attached set of earphones (not included). It’s not a huge deal as it’s common to have an earphone or headphone jack in most handheld devices, but it would be great if this was included with the console. The battery life is surprisingly long and even when playing Zelda for several hours you’ll only need to charge it once.
The Nintendo Switch Lite is perfect for my needs as it’s a handheld console that doesn’t break the bank. If you’re looking for something with all the bells and whistles of the main Switch then this isn’t for you, but if you want a smaller version that is more budget-friendly then I would recommend this console.
